Ballymore and the London Borough of Hounslow today announced that development and planning talks have concluded, enabling the start of early stage demolition and site preparation at the eastern end of the 11-acre site in Brentford, which includes part of Brentford High Street.
These early works are the first step to delivering up to 800 new homes, in addition to a mix of high-quality retail, office space, landscaped public realm, and new public parking which will improve accessibility to Brentford High Street. Further, more complex works will begin in Q2 2019, to bring forward the delivery of 300 apartments alongside new retail and restaurants.

“This site is one that is close to my heart, as one of its serving ward councillors, and as a resident of Brentford for over 20 years, I’m particularly looking forward to the delivery of this highly anticipated scheme. Brentford Waterside will bring much-needed new quality homes for our residents including approximately 90 council homes at council rent levels, as well as a much-improved streetscape on Brentford high street, and I’m delighted that work can now begin on the next stage of regeneration of the town centre. We are working with Ballymore over the next few weeks to produce more detailed information to keep residents and businesses up to date of developments.”
A 4,000 sq ft information centre will open on the site in summer 2019, with a show apartment, exhibition space and development models.
