ArtReach
ArtReach is a long established cultural development agency and Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation that works across the UK and internationally from a base in Leicester. The ArtReach mission is “to make great art possible and accessible”.
ArtReach created Night of Festivals in 2010 as a free access, culturally diverse event that has a focus to “celebrate the values of freedom and democracy through artistic innovation”. It achieved London 2012 Festival status during the UK Olympiad and has been presented with different content in Nottingham, Leicester, Boston (UK), Lincoln, Barking, Hounslow, Slough and London. Each event includes new commissions from local, national and international artists and a range of opportunities for local community participation. In 2017 Night of Festivals South Asia in Leicester marked the 70th Anniversary of independence for India and Pakistan.
Night of Festivals has been funded by Arts Council England, the European Union (including through Creative Europe), various Local Authorities and corporate sponsors, Inspire Hounslow, Heathrow Community Fund, the Joyce Carr Doughty Trust and BIG Lottery. The project is devised and curated by David Hill (Artistic Director) and produced by the ArtReach team led by Executive Producer Wissam Khodur.
