Students in Hounslow schools are producing some of the best GCSEs results in the country according to the latest figures.
In the latest secondary league tables published yesterday (29 January) 66.1 per cent of Hounslow pupils achieved five good GCSEs or more – placing the borough 13th out of 151 England’s education authorities.
And Hounslow’s results place the borough’s students second best results in west London after Kensington and Chelsea. The borough is seventh best out of all London boroughs.
Cllr Tom Bruce, cabinet member for education and children’s services, said: “These are fantastic set of results produced by our students. They, their parents and teachers should feel proud of themselves. It shows our schools are among the best in London and the country.”
