A key milestone in the regeneration of Heston Farm Estate has been reached as the final roof slab has been laid on Passingham House.

To mark the occasion, representatives from the council, Hounslow Homes and developers Lovell helped position the final piece of the roof, of the new four-storey development on Wednesday (11 September).

The new £5.9 million mixed tenure housing development on the Heston Farm Estate is building modern, energy-efficient apartments at the former Passingham House sheltered housing site.

Hounslow boosted its international profile as a place to invest in last week, when a delegation of local government officials from China visited the borough.

The visitors from the Chaoyang District, Beijing were taken on a tour of the borough’s key business locations, including Chiswick Business Park and Brentford’s ‘Golden Mile’ – which is home to a host of multi-national companies, including Glaxo Smith Kline and, like their own district, is home to a number of media companies including BSkyB, the Discovery Channel, Paramount Pictures and many more.

Hounslow Highways has been shortlisted in the West London Business Awards ‘Green Business of the Year’ category in recognition of its approach to delivering a more maintainable and sustainable highway infrastructure.

The new-look High Street will be a more welcoming and accessible area at the heart of Hounslow.

The revamp of the High Street will see new seating and paving installed, trees planted, and will remove existing clutter to transform the appearance of the street and provide new facilities for outdoor events and performances.
