There is just under a week to go for local businesses to be nominated for the annual Hounslow Business Awards.

The borough proudly boasts some of the best local enterprises around and the hunt is on for the best of the best. Nominations must be in by Sunday 19 June.

Hounslow Council is a proud sponsor of the awards, organised by Hounslow Chamber of Commerce in association with Hounslow Highways.

Now in its fourth year, the awards aim to recognise and reward the achievements of the local business community.

The finalists will be invited to a special ceremony at the Hilton Syon Park Hotel, Park Road, Brentford on Thursday 13 October.

There are 12 categories:

  • Best Business for Marketing & Social Media

  • Entrepreneur of the Year
  • Best Charity or Social Enterprise
  • Best New Business
  • Employer of the Year
  • The Green Award
  • Independent Retailer of the Year

Councillor Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council, said: “We urge any local businesses who haven’t yet put themselves forward or anyone who wishes to nominate a business they think should be rewarded, to do so.

“The Hounslow Business Awards are the perfect opportunity for our local businesses to showcase just what they are doing and who they are. We’re extremely proud to be sponsoring these awards again.

“We want to celebrate our businesses and the part they play in our community.”

Stephen Fry, Chair of Hounslow Chamber of Commerce, said: “I continue to be very impressed with the quality, enthusiasm and passion of the businesses that enter these awards.

“These awards demonstrate that Hounslow is an exciting place to work and recognition from these awards can make a difference when securing new customers and new business.”

Applications are welcome from all local businesses in the borough, large and small and there is no limit to the number of categories that can be entered.

The awards are free to enter and businesses can enter online by visiting http://www.hounslowawards.com/.
