It’s now easier than ever to report street repairs and anti-social behaviour, thanks to an improved online interactive tool that’s mobile friendly.
A new map based reporting function on the Hounslow Highways website allows users to track the status of their report. Anyone who provides a valid email address can receive updates on what action has been taken.
The map also allows registered users to see all enquiries reported in the last month.
Most street cleansing issues and anti-social behaviour can be reported online, including:
Councillor Amrit Mann, Deputy Leader of Hounslow Council, said: “Reporting online is the quickest way for residents to contact us and this new tool makes it easier than ever.
“We want to make Hounslow cleaner but everyone has a part to play to make this happen. Not behaving anti-socially and reporting things like dirty streets will help us create a better borough together.
“If you spot something while out and about take a picture on your mobile phone, go online and pinpoint the issue on a map within minutes. You’ll be kept informed of progress and can even see what other people have reported.”
Hounslow Highways Service Director, Rob Gillespie, said: “The new mapping based reporting function provides real time alerts to customers informing them exactly when their enquiry has been investigated and when works have been programmed, if required.
“The new function also eliminates duplication as users can check if their enquiry is already being investigated by us. These improvements are a significant step in our commitment to ensure customers receive timely updates on enquiries they submit and access to information they require.”
The new reporting function replaces the Sort It app. All registered users have been informed.
