Cabinet Question Time

A number of local issues were discussed and debated with Hounslow Council’s Cabinet members at the Question Time event.

The event, held at Chiswick Town Hall, Chiswick, on Wednesday evening (17 Feb), saw residents able to quiz Councillor Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council and many of his Cabinet colleagues on council services and other matters.

Questions from the audience included the temporary closure of Church Street, parking permits, Gunnersbury Station, the footbridge at the Chiswick Business Park, quality of the borough’s high streets and markets, the wheelie bin service, garden waste and public consultations.

MCing the event was Stephen Fry, Chair of the Hounslow Chamber of Commerce.

Councillor Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council, said: “This was the first event of this kind that we have done, and I would like to thank all of our residents who came along, on what was an extremely wet and cold night.

“It was good to have the opportunity to discuss different issues with people and answer their questions.

“We will also be responding to all those personally who submitted questions and plan to hold more of these events in the future.”
