The new Brompton bicycle dock at Turnham Green Tube Station is an innovative cycle hire scheme, offering residents, commuters and visitors the chance to experience the iconic Brompton folding bicycle.
Councillor Amrit Mann, deputy leader and cabinet member for environment, Hounslow Council, said: “Hounslow is one of London’s best biking boroughs, but we can and must do more to make it easier for residents to cycle.
“This is why we are backing this bicycle hire scheme – it’s typical of Brompton to come up with a simple and effective product – no wonder they are an international success story.”
This Turnham Green launch is part of a fast growing national network, which is accessible to all Brompton Bike Hire members.
A British design classic, Brompton folding bikes are the only bikes that can be taken on all public transport, even during peak times, making them ideal for commuter and business trips as well as leisure use.
Users also avoid parking charges, fuel bills and traffic jams. Brompton folding bikes are available for both long and short-term hire with a choice of tariffs to suit all needs. What’s more, the fully automated Brompton bicycle docks are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. At £2.50 a day, is there a cheaper and more flexible way to get around London?
