Chiswick and Brentford residents can enjoy an early Christmas treat this week in the run up to the Yuletide festivities.
On Thursday 27 November from 6pm Cllr Paul Lynch will help switch on the Christmas lights at the George IV Pub, in Chiswick High Road.
The event will be full of festive cheer Fullers style with carols and other entertainment, shire horses, mulled wine and mince pies.
And on 28 Friday, from 4.30 to 7.30pm, there will be a special ‘Fire Garden’ event run by Watermans at Brentford Lock which will warm up the cockles on a winter’s evening.
Cllr Steve Curran, leader of Hounslow Council, said: “The Christmas lights switch on at Chiswick says to me Christmas is coming and the fire garden event is a another opportunity to celebrate booming Brentford.”
