Hounslow Business Awards

BOOST YOUR BUSINESS BY GETTING YOUR ENTRY IN FOR THE HOUNSLOW BUSINESS AWARDS 2014

Some of the borough’s best businesses have been given an extra few days to get their entries in for the Hounslow Business Awards 2014, in association with Hounslow Highways.

Last entries for five categories, giving businesses of all sizes the opportunity to get their name up in lights at a gala dinner and awards ceremony at the Holiday Inn Brentford Lock, will be accepted until this Friday, August 8, 2014.

The categories in which extra time to enter is being provided are: Best Business for Training and Development, Best Green Business, Best Hospitality and Leisure Business, Exporter of the Year and Best Business for Marketing and Social Media.

Rob Gillespie, service director of Hounslow Highways, believes the inaugural Hounslow Business Awards will provide a wonderful showcase of the best the borough has to offer.

“Thriving local businesses are vital to the borough’s local economy and to help stimulate growth. These awards recognise excellence in local business and were are delighted to support that.”

Hounslow Highways is a partnership between VINCI Concessions, Ringway and BIIF who are delivering an £800million investment programme in the borough over the next 25 years including improvements and maintenance of the entire street scene including roads, footpaths, street lighting units and street cleansing.

Rob added: “The awards also give us the chance to meet with other businesses and share our visions for Hounslow, both in the short-term and long-term future.”

Other categories in which businesses are vying for awards are: Best SME Business, Best Business for Customer Service, Entrepreneur of the Year, Commitment to the Community and Best New Business.

This year’s awards, led by Hounslow Chamber of Commerce, culminate in a gala dinner and awards ceremony hosted by broadcaster and radio presenter James Whale at the Holiday Inn, Brentford Lock, on Thursday, October 2, 2014.
